ok to start off my brothers matrix xrs pulled away from me... well i was behind him, and couldnt get around from a stand still i gained a half a car before 25 but i had to get behind him cause there was a car in the way.
then later this week a gt pony beat me 3 times... i didnt wanna give up to the horsie
then just a few seconds ago an eclipse beat me worse then the pony did, it had all these mitsubishi stickers on the side and a body kit... stock exhaust pipe tho...

heh my cars due for some more maintainance im probably running high 15 low 16's... when the car is running full strength, wot triggers the seat belt sensor and they get really tight on me
my top end really sucks right now i donno why... perhaps my wires were done wrong ohh well im ordering the thunder racing over valve kit.

 

if you have stock manifolds, the over the valve wire kit isnt a good idea, since the wires will be resting right on top of the manifold

 

it shouldnt go above 1200*F will it?

 

A stock Matrix XRS runs 15.7 at 92 according to this, www.car-stats.com Does he have any mods done to it? You should be able to pound that car even if you are bone stock. Maybe you need a tune up, a sensor is screwed, or something else is wrong with your car. If you know a lot about cars, fix it. Or take it to a good mechanic. I would re-run the Matrix from a dead stop for a full 1/4 mile or further and get a good baseline at how your car is running. Or run him from a 30 mph roll to 100+ (a long race, not a short little sprint like you did above with him). You are letting ricers think Z28s are slow! Let us know what happens.

 

Get that thing checked out, and get some mods ...Stock LT1s dont go so far nowadays

Oh, get over yourself already! I never said anyone with an import is a ricer. I was just poking fun. Ricers love to talk smack and say they can beat Z28s, Stangs etc. Maybe some of them can beat this Z28. I was just trying to make sure Newbie war was not told about getting spanked by ricers in his out of tune ride, on message boards all over the internet.

What do you expect? This is a GM board. People here generally like GM musclecars and domestics more than imports.

I call all imports Rice.
That is our Freedom of Speech clause in the Declaration of Independence. Since it is not racial, religious or vulgar then I think its an ok term.
Rice is what the Majority of Asians eat and since their cars were so economical and gas friendly they were poked about for years as Rice Burners. So you see , Rice to me is an Import plain and simple. It may not be to any one else , but thats what makes this Country Great!!! Since I have the right of Freedom of Speech then I choose the word..... Rice.

i had a few points with the matrix where i was hardly trying and i was keeping up other times i couldnt keep up w/ him like 80-90 he was pulling away from me w/ wot but many times i was keeping even w/ 75% gas but because i was behind him i power band was only as strong as his. so he pulled away at his and i stayed even w/ mine.

but i dont wanna try to run him again until i know im running strong.
