If I see one more LT1 VS LS1 ...
This is getting old in a hurry ... Everyone instantly calls BS on it because the LT1 guys all say they are winning.
How many more of these are going to be posted though ... seriously ...
I understand that LS1 cars are a good bit faster ... But at the end of the day, they are only trapping between say like 104-106 stock and that IS within full bolt on LT1 range. So yes many of the stories are likely to be BS, but it can happen. An LS1 top end IS beatable ...
But really, in all honestly, I may shoot myself in the face at the next LT1 vs. LS1 story that sounds bull ****.

so i was crusing down Rt. 37 when i saw this black LS1 ws6, chrome wheels, i pulled up next to him and looked over at him. I gave the three honks from a 20mph roll and I instantly pulled 6 cars on the Ls1 man it was crazy. But do you guys think this is possible?

No I mean, it just irritates me how bad the LS1 VS LT1 stuff has been getting lately. Dont get me wrong, I think an LS1 car is awesome, but an LT1 definatly can be made as fast as a stock LS1 car... But at the same time, dont spit out a bull **** story about how you botched the launch, they didnt, and you still put 3 car lengths on them to 80 or 90 like it was nothing, through stock manifolds, stock rockers, springs ... Like, OK sure its possible if the LS1 car is running slow or something is wrong, but it seems like everyday I read a new LT1 vs LS1 story that sounds even dumber than the last.

My buddy Lou will fully admit that my LT1 Z28 in sig spanks on his LS1 Z28 with SLP Lid and Loudmouth under 65mph and still pulls on him over 65mph even though its not as much. Both A4's, and mine weighs more, with heavier wheels/tires, and mine has many more miles. It did the same even before the Vigilante and Pro Street 4L60E.
Everytime I have ever posted a kill on a LS1 car, be it Fbody, GTO, or Vette, I get called for BS. I stopped caring since I knew who won, and stopped posting kills about them since it only caused problems.

Anytyhing can happen in a race. Does not have to be who has the faster car but who the driver is.
If you read some of the LT1 vs LS1 threads sometimes theres more to it then that, Claiming you have a stock LT1 faster then a BOlt opn LS1 is the kind of stuff that draws skeptics. I killed a few LS1's on my old M6 camaro but 90% of the time it was due to me being the better driver. I would be the first to admit it when it happened. I took my 200K mile LT1 to the track and outran a 03 Cobra. Not because I had the faster car but because I pulled a 2.0 60 and shifted like there was no tomarrow and he couldnt take off or shift worth a crap. I beat him pretty bad but he had 10 MPH on me@ the trap. Meaning his car was way faster but I won. Beat him 2 more times in the same day.
People cant tell the difference between the 2.
If you owned both cars and modded both cars youd know why most people are so quick to call BS.

Bersaglieri ~ You also had full bolt ons ... Some of the crap lately just really sounds like complete bull ****. They have a CAI, and Catback, a little bit of suspension work ... And then claim to have totally botched the launch spinning like crazy, had to let off the throttle, then get back into it, and still manage to pull 2 or 3 by 80 ... I mean, I'm not calling bull**** on any one particular thread, there just has been an awful lot of it lately ... I honestly do believe yours pulls on some LS1 cars. Mine was dead even with one with just the headers and a half decent launch ... So it does happen, but some of the stories lately ...

My only street death was to a DSM. Walked me 80-120 in 4th. I had only had the car a week -- if we did it again today I would have pulled 3rd and probably fared a little better, but I'm pretty sure he still would have won.

I have yet to race an ls1 so i have no valid arguement on this topic. i dont know why im even posting. probably just to feel important just like the ls1 owners. j/k

Hah, that is a good point ... Thats kind of strange that I am standing up for LS1 guys cause I am all for LT1's ( Liking the fact that it can take SBC rotating assembly, etc. ) and love to see LT1's walking on newer "faster" cars ...
