Catback w/ 3" cutout
(I have 1.6rr's ready to install but I need springs first)
Fuzion Zri tires

 

Now's the time to modify.

I'd get a full exhaust and gears, then you'll easily beat him.

 

Get some DRs, that should cut out his gear advanatage. Don't lose to that Rustang...

 

Get some drag radials and you should have no problem with him, its just a mustang!!

Although you have a slight power advantage.

 

A race between these two cars is all about who has the most traction. I believe your car will trap higher than his slightly, so as long as you he isnt ahead of you off the launch, you got this one. Invest in a set of tires.

i think he might get you with those gears. it should be close though.

 

I raced a friend with an 02 GT with: Headers, x pipe, 4.10's, CAI, and underdrive pulleys. I was stock except for GMMG and I think he took me by 1/4 of a car. It was really really close.

Depending on drivers I think it will be close.

 

itll be close because of the gears, i smoked the doors off a 01gt with my 96ss w/ some bolt ons , and smoked a 06gt by 4 lenght, supposed to be about 300hp on the 06 isn't it

Everyone tells me this kid cant drive good at all, something like 14.8's, but then again Ive only driven stick for about 1.5 months, and done about 10 WOT shifts. I can shift pretty good, but I dont powershift. I am thinking about powershifting 2nd gear but that is it.

I already have new Fuzion Zri's, which I think drag radials. not too sure but they definitly hook better then stock.

Oh yeah the mustang has drag radials too, i forgot about that.

 

Don't powershift, just shift it as fast as you can, its not worth it

 

Go out and practice shifting, you won't regret it.
