Have you ever un-intentionally raced someone?

Last week, I was at a stop light w/ a Mustang GT next to me. Wouldn't you know it, I raced him (and won) when the light went green. I wasn't looking for a race. I was coming back from the Dr. office, at the light waiting for it to turn green listening to the radio. A mustang pulls up next to me, I look over, next second the light turns green & I hit it. It was like an automatic response. Involuntary reaction. I couldn't help myself. Afterwards, I was like "what the hell am I doing?"

No, but I've raced cars that thought I was racing when I was not. I've also pumped the gas on and off to keep next to a Crapolla S in the old GTP.

I also one time took off quick on The Bikk not racing and when I let off at the speed limit I realized some ricer dude thought we were racing and I waited until he got next to me and I opened it back up and proceeded up to where he couldn't even attempt a flyby in his wet dreams.

I had a lot of people think I was racing them when I had the Lightning...then I would just pull away like they pulled the e-brake.

I have had several time that i wasnt sure i someone was racing me or not. Every time it was crap **** import with loud exhaust.

When i come off an light i like to be first with other cars behind me, so i dont have to worry about them hitting me or cutting me off or whatever.

All these times i would just inch into the throtle to stay ahead, a few times when we would get to the next ligt they would say something like Wow your car is pretty fast i would just be like are they talking about just now

Bad O2 I believe. Probably could have used a tune up too. I literally hadn't touched anything from buying it to dynoing it. And it was used so...

thats wierd, anyways 02 sensors are not a factor at WOT, the pcm doesnt take rading at wot, so that can't be it.

Yes it can, according to most guys on this website. There's a thread on here about it. The computer adjusts the closed loop after a while to less fuel I believe is what they said. I'm by no means learned in this area.

I'm talking about WOT, which is not effected at all by 02's they are not monitored at WOT period. The engine runs off of WOT tables in the PCM which are modified if you get a tune by pcm4less or madz28 which is why people gain hp from them.

In daily driving of course they could effect hp, but at wide open throttle no.
