H/C LT1 vs 634 rwhp 03 KB CObra...
I was talking to my bud that goes by the member ID Grease here. He has setup a race this weekend with a rather powerful 03 Cobra that belongs to another bud of ours.
Grease's 95 Z28 is probably running high 11's@115-116 right now and is making 390 rwhp. The Z28 is setup for drag racing and will have dr's.
The Cobra is your typical KB setup, made 634 rwhp, 535 rwtq. I have no ideal what is runs because it literally has no traction, what so ever. It does have a solid 8.8 axle which should help out, but it is lowered...big time.
Anyways....
Race 1 will be from a dead stop.
Race 2 will be from a slow, 20-30 mph roll.
Race 3 will be from a 60 mph roll.
All will be captured on video.
Curious as to how the Cobra is going to make up ground..if it can.

), the LT1 is gonna get beat like a red-headed step-child...
Although it's not impossible to "make-up ground" when your car probably traps 10 - 12 mph faster than the car you're running against.
Re: H/C LT1 vs 634 rwhp 03 KB CObra...
The same Cobra on dr's when it was making 510 rwhp was running 11.3's@126 mph...hmmm..should now be near 140 mph or at least pull like that when it gets motivated.
But on street tires being lowered, it will have to be babied like crazy.
The reason this race is going on is because my bud with the 03 Cobra is going to sooner or later put in automatic, t-brake setup and was curious how it runs against Grease's car, who works part-time for the guy with the Cobra...guess Grease was pulling his chain about no traction and now we have a race

The Cobra loses traction at 80mph 4th gear - imagine how it's gonna be from a dead stop. The Z 'should' freight train him from a dead dig and GET freight trained from anything other than a dig.
The Cobra is new to our buddies stable - hence no DR's, suspension work etc.... All will be installed soon enough.
Gonna be a cool race either way.
