Got pulled by co-workers 84 mercury capri.

We decided to set up a quick highway race from 60 to whatever! He puts out about 300 to the wheels and weighs 3280 with him in it. So, we both hit it simultaneously my tranny doesn't downshift to second and he puts about 2 or so cars on my to 120. Then we go again at 70 and yet again no downshift and he pulls about the same. good times and a fast car. we also plan on going again once I get my racetronix fuel system and some 3.73s. and I'll get that one tape.

also, what should a 3200lb car with 300rwhp be good for 1/4 mile wise?

Low 13s at 109.5 mph with street tires. But Bob Cosby will say something like high 11s at 115 with traction. He still hasn't told us his magic formula for getting the extra 5-6 mph of trap speed he gets out of car compared to a lot of us.

look at his rear end gearing. with 350 plus hp to the wheels and 4.56 that bucket of crap had better be able to get through the 1/4 mile quick. won't have much after that. lol, what him and a 13 second supra run on the highway.

p.s. i can't stand mustands or supras

what gears do u have? if 3.23's u should have definitely dropped to second from 60, even 3.42's should drop to 2nd. maybe there is something wrong with your tranny? << maybe!

most likely a problem with the transmission, possibly something wrong with the epc solenoid. have it checked out at a reputable transmission place. or if you do your own work drop the pan and if there is crap on the magnet (metal, duh) or black dust looking stuff on the bottom of the pan you may want to start looking into transmission prices.

transmission has been fine prior and it seems to be fine AFTER the race my top end seems to be suffering a bit, most likely my stock fuel pump. I should be replacing that in a few months, throw some gears on and have another round with the capri.
