We went from a second gear roll at first. he took off without warning and i got raped. the second race we went at the same time from a first gear roll and i pulled ahead. we shut down after he pulled up where my front bumper was at his door. I have beat this car a few times before, but he got new heads and a shot of juice (unknown shot size). He also already had a larger cam and intake and exhaust. My buddy told the guy later, "Not too bad for ALL MOTOR huh?". I thought it was funny. Anyway, thats what went down.

 

I've been around a lot of foxbodies, and had an 89gt until I got rear ended. Most heads, cam ,intake 5.0's run high 12's to low 13's at 106-109 mph. I bet he was running no smaller than a 100 shot too. I ran on a couple bolt on Ls1's in mine. It was an AOD car with bolt ons and a 175 shot.

 

Yea some of those fox bodies can be killer

 

Thing is, most arent. I have a buddy who swore up and down his 92 5.0 ran low 13's stock and now that he got a cam runs low 12's. Although he wont ever race me to prove it

So they get to where I am with a cam, intake manifold, and heads, and I just have a moderate size cam in a heavier car. No wonder why everyone throws an S-trim on their fox body.

I used to have fun smashing up LS1s/LT1s from this board when I was n/a years ago(12.9 at 111MPH on radials with cast iron heads). Of course times have changed since then.

Yeah, pushing the juice he just pulls me. on all motor its just reciprocated. i pull him. I ran his buddy in a fox last night with headers and 250 shot. took him out pretty good from a second gear roll. now all i need is about $5k more to spend!!!

 

You never know what your up againest with those foxbodies. Some are slow, most are heavily modded and fast. Good Kill.

 

I just found out that the first stang was running a 250 SHOT!! Holy crap, im not so sad now. He said has put over 7 bottles through that engine. Engine failure in 3..2...1....

 

Maybe he sprayed you the first run and not the second run. That would explain you getting a$$ raped the first race and hanging in the second race.
I'm not sure how built his engine is but a 250 shot of N20 would require a much bigger fuel pump. Many more precautions would have to be taken other than the above mentioned. Then again, why would he lie about the size of the shot? Especially if it makes his car look slower and just a bottle fed pony car.

 

Yeah where I live Foxes are one of two things pretty much stock and slow or they are sprayed and pretty dang fast. There are a few inbetweens but not many.

 

Huh.. they also come with 245hp.. imagine that And I guarantee you that a heads/cam/full exhaust 5.0 Fox would stomp the living **** out of your LT1

 

Yeah... tell that to my neighbor with the Trick-Flow heads, cam, intake, headers, etc. on his notchback. It's amazing how fast he pulls on me
