if hes stock you should win fairly easy...though Mach 1's are impressive for so little cubes, most recent read on one was evan smiths 13.00 w/ a 2.0 60'...wonder what he would cut if that 60 was sub 2.0

yeah Mach 1's are indeed impressive for a stock 281. Given equal drivers theyre about 1 tenth slower than an LS1

mach 1's are fast, but if your runing 12's and hes stock and hes got low miles youll definitly win. From what i see the more the mach 1 gets broken in they run alot faster. But that doesn't matter for you, your not stock.

Nice kill.

I didn't realize that the Mach 1's were pulling out 13.4's. Was he bone stock on street tires?

I look forward to seeing a few on the street. Not that I would win for sure, but it would be a fun run.

I seen one run a 13.5 on drag radials . That is the fastest I have seen so far on the mach 1 . Im sure some are going to run even better then that . But dont expect low 13's to be the average for these cars . I have seen 6 run now and the majority are running high 13's . I think a stick and a good driver will mean everything fora mach 1 . Autos dont take advantage of the RPM's the engine is capable of cranking out .
Good kill bye the way...What does your car run without drag radials ? Im trapping 109 but I have yet to get to run on sticky tires . Everytime I try a launch that is not nursing , I spin thrue second and run a 13.4 . Thats what I am running with a 2.4 60 .

I just ran one last night. I asked about mods before the run. I got "K&N and Flowmasters", but you never know if that was the truth or just something he tells all "ricers". When he saw my car was twin turbo, he said I'd win, but then I told him my clutch is fubared so I'll have to roll into it (instead of my usual 1.7 60ft anywhere-you-want-it AWD launch).

We both hit it at about 5 mph. My instantly-spooling stock turbos and their corresponding 400+ torque at 2500 rpm catapulted me ahead as the boost reached 18 psi, my back bumper to his front. We then banged gears to past 130 mph. I couldn't see him at all during the run, so it had to be very close. If I pulled any it would have been like 1 car.

I trap at 106-107 in this configuration so I can say it is a really quick car. Had Ford not made the supercharged Cobra, this car would still represent quite well. It only took them 8 years to get the 4.6 DOHC to make the power it should, but it looks like it's working now.

I don't know how the Mach's gearing is up top. At 130 I'm barely into 4th gear, which lasts till 150, with 5th lasting until I run out of power (stock is 155; I'm guessing closer to 175 or more now). Perhaps at some point I'd start gaining quicker?
