With Gas prices the way they are, I've been taking it easy for a while now. Well, I was on the way home last night and heard a wierd noise coming up behind me on the highway. The noise passes me, and I see it is a green late '90's Golf with a very large exhaust tip. Normally, I ignore these guys, but he was walking this Prelude pretty badly. So I got behind them, passed the Prelude, and we had to slow down for traffic. Once past the traffic, we had a clear shot. He started pulling me slightly around 90 as I had shifted into 5th at 75 MPH earlier, so I dropped it into fourth and matted it. By the time he hit 110, I passed him at 130...

Once I did this, I was coming upon traffic and my exit, so I hit the brakes (The same ones that worked so well at Lime Rock last year) dropped to 75 in no-time, then drifted over to my exit. He meekly went by me at the same speed as the traffic...

BTW, I have no idea what this guy did to his exhaust elsewhere, but it really did not sound normal. Not buzzy, or droning, but wierd.
