Formula vrs G35 coupe

well, the other day, i was driving to gas up i think i forget why i was driving, anywho, night time, i saw 2 lights flicker as it bounced w/ the road, it was changing lanes and begining to gain, well i matched its speed some how, and it was behind me, i pressed the pedal as much as i could on the outside of a heavy turn about 100 mph
it was barely inching up on me, never to pass me, we get to the city and now there are a few signals,
at one stop light i made sure to stop to see what this car was, i could only see the emblem and couldnt tell weather it was infiniti or a benz, and figured out its a G35 coupe (ugly car if u ask me)

well i get to the line and hes behind me now, i hit the gas with the light and i got a better launch but after about 50mph he starts to pull on me, but again inch my inch, never to pass me from about 0-100 he maybe had about 3 feet on me, but his nose never passed my gas tank, when i let off

both times he was slowly gaining on me.

i went to tell my brother about this (he has matrix xrs) he thinks its the fastest car ever, and he got wooped by a 350z, and he says if i didnt get wooped the driver wasnt racing.

driven well there probably low 14 second cars, plus he could of had a air intake or something.always subtract a few tenths from the C&D or motortrend times...so dont feel so bad

yeah, the g35 and 350z are pretty evenly matched with lt1's. basically, whoever launches better typically wins. I think the 350z is rated slightly higher in hp than the g35. if you haven't checked out the 350z roadster already, go for a test drive! I love my 94z vert, but that roadster is pretty sweet too.

in fact, there's a video somewhere on the net with a z28 (lt1) vs. a 350z. the z28 gets the jump the first time and pulls away, but the 2nd time they both get good launches and are even the whole way.

I think you might be talking about my video. If it's a blue Camaro vs. a black 350Z then that's me. I beat him pretty good the first time, the second time I got a bad launch, and he got a pretty good one, and I pulled him around the outside of a turn. You can't really tell in the video though. I wish I had a video of what I did to him on the interstate though, his exact words "man, what the f*ck happened?!?!". At that time I had intake, headers and a catback.

yeah the g35 might be a close race, but he should not by any means pull you. you have a high 13/low14 second LT1 if it is in good running order. i usually have no problem shutting down g35 coupes.
just my .02

I've never had one even come close?

By the way the few of them (either 350Z or G35) have run, i'd say the mag times were pretty close.

If anything, you are probably due for a tune up.

try a +1/2 second or more to motor trend (unless you don't let off your gas when you shift like they do!!!)... that's right they "power shift", and a lot depends on the day they test (climate and all)...
