Stopped at a store and when i came back out there was a BEAUTIFUL 05 GTO M6 sitting beside my car. I waited around till the owner came out, told him how beautiful his car was and proceded to shoot the sh*t. I eventually got around to asking if he wanted to run! He seemed sorta hesitant but interested, and his wife was like, "i wouldnt do it if i were you" so i stepped in and said "just a short race from a stop"! and he agreed! First run, about a 10mph roll and he motioned for me to go first. I did, jumped about 31/2 cars on him and still pulling a little after the initial jump to about 60! he pulls up next to me with a big grin and a thumbs up! Then tells me the reason was because mine was an auto and he had to shift so! the second go we tried to catch a light but couldnt, so we just stopped. i told him to go first this time! he did and i feathered out and when i got to about 10mph punched it. about the same results! Passed him quick! let off at about 55-60 and was still pulling a little with about 3 cars on him! he gave me a thumbs up and slowed down! I know everybodys going to say "he couldnt drive" or whatever other variables you can think of! but im D*MN proud!!!!! also on a different note, got a speeding ticket not 10 min's later on I-64....

You got the big hard jump on him because of your 3600 stall (obviously, you had no problem hooking up when you floored it). If you had the stock stall in there, you would not have pulled on that thing let alone beat it if he could drive his LS2 descently. From a 50+ punch, you would have lost seeing as how you're probably only around 300-315rwhp for your lid/cutout A4 while he's probably around 340ish with his stock M6. This is all "going by the book" though since I know anything can actually happen on the streets.

Either way, sounds like you had a couple nice runs! But seriously bro, consider yourself damn LUCKY you got just a "speeding" ticket and not one for dragracing...It doesn't take much to get arrested and lose your license for streetracing...So next time, I'd think twice before running on the street because you might not come out of it so lucky...

There high 12 second cars stock and probably so are you if not faster...You definately had the edge from a dig...going from a roll might be different.

I dont at the time, Im in the navy and using public computers! But a while back i was looking at another members site and his car looks very similar to mine, with the exception of the hockey stripes which i plan on getting in the future and he doesnt have an SS hood! My bumper still has the holes where the original grill snapped in, but everyone loves it, my letters are filled in black and a lot of people including people with 98+ camaros think its an aftermarket bumper! my mirrors are red not black and i have my SS and Bowtie in my back panel! but heres the link to HIS website!

Nice Kill. Not sure on this, but a friend of mine leased an '05 GTO and I think I remember him saying something about how there is some governor on the new GTOs that shorts them about 50hp until after the break in period. Again, I am not sure but this is something I heard.
