first STI kill

My buddy has an 04' STI, completely stock. We finally lined them up today, went from a 25mph roll to 120,let him give the 3 honks and we were off.... He got me on the horn but I jumped him right away. Don't know how much I won by but I was able to comfortably pull ahead of him into his lane. Makes me wonder if my setup is really running at its potential not sure how much I should be able to pull a car like that on the top end, hopefully be going to the dyno this coming weekend.

What year car do you have? An '04 STi on average should run mid 13's around 100-103mph. With your mods, it should have been a pretty big as* raping, racing from a roll.

++

Z28Roxy's bolt on LT1 had NO problems beating an 04 STI.

edit: From a dig, no less.

sigh, since when is rollin racing, I hate starting a race from a roll.
Nice kill though, even with the turbo haveing the roll advantage you still got him.

Sounds fun. Stock STI's are rare here in California, since Harman Motive's shop is in LA. Every STI I've run into has 400+ AWHP. They are kinda becoming the next Honda Civic, but still badass.

It's even more fun when you have the STi drivetrain wrapped in a boring family sedan body

I'm getting the urge for a round of "real" mods to the Legacy soon. It's about time for a big turbo & FMIC (black, of course, to keep the sleeper appearance). My goal is just shy of 400whp with a nearly stock outside appearance -- you know, so "faster" cars try to "teach me a lesson."

Sounds awesome. The Legacy is one of the best looking family sized sedans in my opinion. When I was at Harman Motive's shop and a few came by throughout the day, and they look clean with a set of wheels on them. I hate working on Subarus though. Have fun with that turbo swap lol.
