Re: E F B16 Civic hatch

i have a 92 civic dx with a jdm b16a2 mine is pretty much stock right now its nothing to worry about it's not crazy quick. but at my brothers shop there are guys with b16 with b18 bottom end and sh*t like that that are crazy quick. the things you can do with a honda motor are amazing, like switching heads from a different series engine and gaining a few extra hp.

3000 is not that much when you buy a 1st gen dsm for maybe another 3000 compared to what ls1s and nice lt1s usually cost. For a like 500 bucks you can make a dsm about as fast as a stock lt1.

The other reason that makes dsm cars so fast is the awd ones can get like 1.6 60fts on street tires. Not much beats my awd off the lights except for other awd cars or modified cars on drag tires.

What's so impressive about that? People have been doing that regularly since the 60s. You don't see it so much on domestics anymore because the best engine to start with is the one that's in the car (if you bought a v8 and not a v6, anyway )

Turbos and nitrous can make a 4 cylinder fast, but their effects are magnefied with more cubes. Give me a turbocharged 350 SBC any day of the week over the B-whatever engines, supras, skylines, etc.

Some of you sound like turbos can't be used with american V8s... just take a look around on the american sports car boards. There are many really impressive rides, and some are down right scary .
