A discrace to lingenfelter last night

Last night me and a few friends were at the local test & tune. There was a LT-1 formula with LPE badging everywhere. Accross the windshield, throttlebody plate, stickers under the hood, etc. So I ask him what it has done from LPE and he said "They balanced my rotating assembally"..... THATS IT?? Any way, He said it was a 383 with mild elliot ported heads and a ZZ....somethin cam. It was a TPIS baby cam (had almost no lope what so ever) I asked him what rpm it shifted at And he said 6500 With choked heads, baby cam, stock injectors, shorty headers and stock catback I thought??? I asked him if it still pulled at that rpm, He assured me that it pulled great up there and he could wind it further if he wasn't scared to blow it. He thinks it's makin about 420 HP. And heres the kicker consistant 14.2's at 105 best time of the night was a 13.5 at 106. There are bolt on cars running much better than that. This guy seemed like a complete tool and it took everything I had not to punch him in the head. Sorry I just had to vent

Maybe he thought the stickers made the car go faster.

I'd be severily pissed off If I spent money with Lingenfelter and wasn't in the very low 11s. Their work doesn't come cheap.

Im actually putting a Lingenfelter decal on my windshield soon when it comes in I just have the LPE Cai but i dont think my car will go any faster because of it. If that kid thinks hes pushing 420 hp and cant even hit 12s then yea kick him in the head. But anyway im still working on engine mods im just adding my 2 cents.

They know what they're doing with your car, but YOU need to know what you're doing with it.

i wonder if lingenfelter sticks make more hp than ricer stickers

seriously since we are on the lingenfelter topic. i know a guy considering selling his lingenfelter 2002 ta ws6. i dont know all the bells and whistles lpe put on but it has a lpe ls6 intake, lpe suspension, and some other stuff. it dyno's at 347rwhp. he is asking 22K for it. seems outrageous to me or can someone get that for a lightly modded lpe car?

Personally I would want a good bit of LPE work done on my car before I would put their name on it. Do you see any camaro's or TA's with a moroso decal accross the windshield?

My line of thinking is, if this car is not heavily modded by Lingenfelter and you havent spent over 4,000 or so with them, then you don't deserve to place their hard earned name on your windshield for everyone to see. I have a Lingenfelter exhaust, but you won't see my car sporting a windshield decal, and more so because I cant stand stickers.Advertising your s**t to the street folk is a BAD idea for many reasons. Especially if you arent sporting what the decal says. Just my opinion. Take it or leave it.

Nice kill...jk. I kind of agree with 96PTKZ28, a local shop went under by giving their banners away to any random idiot. Not to say LPE is going anywhere but people like that will make your business look bad. BTW I'm sporting the SLP lincense frame and all I have is their intake and WS6 hood, but I don't run my mouth so it's ok.

Re: A discrace to lingenfelter last night

Man I knew it was my Nitrous Express sticker I have inside my engine compartment that makes me run 11's. Or maybee it is the NX lisense plate bracket. What do you guys think makes more power, the sticker or the bracket?

Thanks for the help:

The only aftermarket thing I have from SLP is an airlid.....but my SS has the SLP options on it. Thats why I put on my SLP windshield decal. If I just had my airlid I wouldn't have. Just my .02.
