Difference between '05 GT and '99-'04 GT is only 3 tenths and 1 mph!

Not really... we're just at a point where an average joe worker can afford to buy one and has the other issues dealt with. In other words, the kids are gone, no longer am paying for college, only the wife and I, and we can finally afford one (or two) and still live comfortably.
When I was in my 20s and single, I couldn't afford it.
When I was in my 30s and married, we couldn't afford it and even if we could, it made no sense to buy a 2 seater when there were kids to ferry around. In my 40s we can finally afford it and there are only 2 of us.
Here's somthing to ponder... lets say you have a typical Fbody purchaser of a few years ago, or even now. Let's say it's a guy in his mid 20s to mid 30s. His choice is an Fbody or a C5 Corvette of the same year. Wonder of wonders, both cars cost the same amount of money. Looks in Autotrader and it's the same across the board. Similar milage and condition and an Fbody and C5 costs the same. Which car does he buy?

All that means is you got lucky finding a good price on a C5 and didn't look hard enough for an F-body that should cost half price for the same miles, year, condition, etc.

3. Antz frequently posted kills from when he would leave work in the morning (worked the night shift?). He did this all the time, talking about beating rice on route 18.
4. Antz told everybody he worked at the UPS hub in Eatontown, a mere ~1/4 mile from my office at the time. I actually saw his car in the parking lot there one morning, numbers from the track still on the window.
5. One morning, I was conveniently shipping packages. I realized it was near the time that Antz told everybody he got off work. I was "lazy" finishing and leaving.
As "luck" would have it, Antz was leaving work and I pulled out behind him, and decided to see if he wanted to play with my GT. He took off...I lost him on a back road after getting stuck behind a slower car.
6. He claimed to later own an LS1, was in the Army, owned an LT1...whatever. I lost track and post infrequently on this board now.
7. Yes, Tim Teal, Mike Morris and several other Mustang owners other than myself called him out. He never obliged. Lately, he doesn't talk nearly the smack he did a few years ago.
Strangely, I find my opinion of SteveY to be the same as Antz's. I don't feel the need to play "patty cake" with a guy who never saw the 13's, lists synthetic oil in his sig, and can't figure out which tires are best. It's obvious he's butthurt about the progress the '05 GT has made, and feels the need to soothe his pain by posting about it on an F-body board, where he knows he'll get sympathy.
Being told I don't know what h*ll I'm talking about by him is irony at its finest.
15-20rwhp by removing the timing dump on shifts...
I have no desire to dig up curb weights for 2-valve GT's...he can pat himself on the back for his Edmunds links.
