It was sorta like it is now. Now, Steve Posts something, and less than 5 posts down, Antz posts something. But then it was Antz would post, then less than 5 posts down, BadAzzGT would have a post. If I remember right, a few people sorta stalked Antz. I am pretty sure Antz worked at UPS, because a few of the Members from this board showed up there trying to get race from him when he got off.
1. Antz did have a blue LT1 Z28.
2. Antz talked mad sh*t about Mustangs, I called him out on several occasions and he wouldn't come out for a run. One evening, I offered (on this very board) to drive to Eatontown and meet him for a run...anywhere. He backed out.
3. Antz frequently posted kills from when he would leave work in the morning (worked the night shift?). He did this all the time, talking about beating rice on route 18.
4. Antz told everybody he worked at the UPS hub in Eatontown, a mere ~1/4 mile from my office at the time. I actually saw his car in the parking lot there one morning, numbers from the track still on the window.
5. One morning, I was conveniently shipping packages. I realized it was near the time that Antz told everybody he got off work. I was "lazy" finishing and leaving. As "luck" would have it, Antz was leaving work and I pulled out behind him, and decided to see if he wanted to play with my GT. He took off...I lost him on a back road after getting stuck behind a slower car.
6. He claimed to later own an LS1, was in the Army, owned an LT1...whatever. I lost track and post infrequently on this board now.
7. Yes, Tim Teal, Mike Morris and several other Mustang owners other than myself called him out. He never obliged. Lately, he doesn't talk nearly the smack he did a few years ago.

Strangely, I find my opinion of SteveY to be the same as Antz's. I don't feel the need to play "patty cake" with a guy who never saw the 13's, lists synthetic oil in his sig, and can't figure out which tires are best. It's obvious he's butthurt about the progress the '05 GT has made, and feels the need to soothe his pain by posting about it on an F-body board, where he knows he'll get sympathy.
Being told I don't know what h*ll I'm talking about by him is irony at its finest. 15-20rwhp by removing the timing dump on shifts...
I have no desire to dig up curb weights for 2-valve GT's...he can pat himself on the back for his Edmunds links.

Re: Difference between '05 GT and '99-'04 GT is only 3 tenths and 1 mph!

Edmunds aside, Ford's site lists the Mustang's shipping weight at 3356 lbs. They don't list, or at least I could not find a weight for the 2004 Mustang (only other one listed on their site).

The article with the 05 GT says it went 13.39 @ 101.8 mph. I was at E-town the day the 2002 GT went 13.7. I don't remember if it went 13.70, 13.79, or somewhere in between. So there is somewhere between .31 and .40 difference in the ETs. Less in MPH.

I do remember the conditions (for the 2002 GT) were stellar (I ran my 99 at the same time). I cannot vouch for how close or not close the conditions were for the 05 GT, as I was not at that one.

Also, I do not know if 13.39 is the best ever recorded for a bone stock 05. For that matter, I don't know if Evan Smith's 13.7x is the best ever for a 99-04, but I've never heard of a quicker one.

IMHO, 3-4 tenths is probably about right. It also seems rather obvious that the TM on the 05 is doing some serious damage to both ET and MPH. Such is life, I suppose.

Yes, I never saw the 13s at 4000'+ elevation, yet. I was just asking the opinion of people about the tires. Is that so bad? I could care less about the '05 GT. I don't like the looks of them. I was posting the facts about the differences of them so idiots like Antz could see the truth. That's all. I saw two before and after dyno tests of removing the nanny, adding timing, leaning out the mixture, etc. One gained 15 rwhp, the other 20. A real man would admit he was wrong about the Edmunds links, but obviously you are not a real man. You are just as big of jerk as you always were, you are back on my ignore list.

Yea this was years ago....I really had no knowledge of mustangs at the time, all I basically knew it that they werent as fast as fbodies stock. Through the years since Ive read alot of copies of MM&FF and frequent the corral often to educate myself on them and since learned alot and to respect them.
He did this all the time, talking about beating rice on route 18.
LOL, this was ONE race on rt.18 and UltimateOrangeSS was in the passenger seat.
He claimed to later own an LS1, was in the Army, owned an LT1.
I owned a 01 Ls1 for a short time when I lived in south florida to help my uncle open up his italian pastry shop, but after the 1st insurance note it was gone, UltimateOrangeSS came and stayed for a few weeks...after that vacation I guess you could say our freindship went down south. I was stationed @ Ft. Richardson AK in the army where I did buy a 96 LT1 323 car, put a cai and a cutout on it and then thought "who the hell has a camaro in alaska", so i sold it 2 mths later. As far as people calling me out, Tim and I **** talked alot, and I since found to respect what he did/ is doing w/ his 98. I have no clue who the other guy even is, and the night you called me out I told you I was about a six pack deep already hence me not obliging to race...Im sure none of you give a rats *** about any of this, I just had to clear a few things up. As far as steveY, I have a dead on similar opinion as snorman on him. Not trying to butter up to anybody, or change the past I just call it like I see it.

What are you talking about and who are you talking to? It helps to quote someone when the thread is this long.
