Did you ever...

Didi you ever have an almost race? A street race that you wanted but didn't happen b/c of traffic or didn't get up close enough to the car you wanted to race?

I was trying to catch up to a red LT1 4th gen & kept getting blocked by blue hairs.

in all honesty, monday thru friday on the newtown bypass in pa. traffic is tight from there to I-95 so the smaller cars take advantage over us by weaving thru traffic to avoid a loss. racing on streets is stupid, but i draw the line at weaving around people, cutting them off to race a scion tc, or bwm m3, etc.

Yeah. It still ended up a race just not the one I wanted. I was leaving the mall and when I got out on the road caught a redlight at a three lane. So I'm waiting at the head of one line and a lt1 Z pulls up in the lane to my left. About 10 sec later an lt1 trans-am pulls up on my right. So I'm sitting there thinking I'm about to have a three-way in the middle of Elizabethtown and start getting a little anxious anticipating the race. The light turns green and the Z and myself punch it. The trans-am was a middle aged guy so I didn't think he'd run but kept hopeful. Anyway, both the Z and I cut a hell of a light and somewhere around 3rd gear I started to pull on him ending with about a 1 1/2 car lead. Fun but not as cool as it could of been (just glad no cops saw us).

This happens to me many times a weekend (considering only reason I go to this place is to race) Ill spot a sports car, and then 1 car screws me over, or else they turn after reving there motor, or else there just posers and turn off into the "cool" parking lot. Happens constantly.

This summer, I lost my passenger side t-top after my passenger forgot to lock it for me (flew right off like a kite once I got on the on ramp to the highway). I was so bummed that night, that while coming home, I was lined up with a r32 skyline that I had seen in my area at the lights with no one else in sight and didnt even go for it.

I would have really liked to seen the outcome of that race.
