I was in highschool at the time so this was a while ago, but i think its a good story. My second time at the strip with my 70 chevelle that was nothing special, power wise. It had a 350 with a mild cam performer intake headers 150 shot of spray th350 and 4.10 posi with horrible 6 inch wide cooper cobra tires. It was street night at Epping in NH, where you only got about 3 runs a night. Some guy trailered in his Dart with a 383. My last run of the night just my luck I get to run the dart. Now this guy didnt even start it in the staging lanes he pushed it, so im thinking oh ****. So being my self I say F it im just gonna have fun and do my best. I get up to do my burnout and people told me i did the biggest burnout they had ever seen. Completely pointless, but it was fun, and they had to wipe down a honda behind me because there was alittle rubber on his car. So we stage and take off. I hit second gear and get on the spray and somthing doesnt feel right. At this point im beating the trailer queen dart!!!! Being that i hate to lose there was no way i was getting off it so i held it to the floor. Alittle before the finish line i heard the loudest noise of my life and metal flying everywhere. Im 18 at the time and have no idea what happened. Turns out i blew up my drive shaft, oh well at least i beat the trailer queen that night even though i coasted across the finish haha.

To be honest i dont remember i have the time slip somwhere. It wasnt all that impressive since i coasted by the trap.
