Cobra got smoked!

Cobra got smoked!
Just wanted to spread the news to my fellow LS1 owners that sadly a Cobra was killed today!
First let me tell you that the area I live in is very rural and and there's alot of farming out here. With that, you have alot of rich farmer kids that are driving cars like you would never see anywhere else. ( When I was a kid I drove a Pinto!) Anyway I'm driving around running erands today and a '03 or '04 Cobra pulls next to me and guns his engine. I signal for him to pull over at the Sonic. We get to talking and low and behold daddy just bought junior an '03 Cobra vert. Well we continue to give props on each others cars when junior says " Just let me know when you feel like getting smoked!" and gets in his car. Well no red blooded LS1 owner is going to put up with that **** talking.
I told him to meet me at Danner's crossing in 5 minutes.
( Danner's crossing is an old two lane road in the country hardly ever driven on and is marked off by the school kids for a 1/4 mile.)
We get out there and I must admit I was real nervous never having run one of these newer Cobras and he's brought a friend with him. I smoke the tires to get them good and hot and wait on the signal. The signal is being given and junior starts way too soon, so we line them up again. This time no false start and I'm dead in it. He got me off the line( bad tire spin) and I'm behind a 1/2 car thinking holy ****! Second gear is mine I'm pulling even, third gear I'm starting to leave him good and fourth he's dead by at least 6 cars and that's conservative. He got to read my license plate " ZYAPONY" from a distance. Well I stopped to say good run and junior keeps driving off. Oh well, he asked for it and he got it! I call him junior because he couldn't have been more than 18 years old and I'm 34.

Thanks guys! I have busted my rear to get this car to where she's at and it just killed me for some rich punk kid to be that smug! I built the car for show at the local car shows but every once in a while I get the urge to clean the pipes out. As soon as I get a digital camera I'll post some photos of her. I don't race very often but If I do I'll let you guys know.

Hey man where in arkansas are you from. I'm from paragould in northeast Arkansas. I have about seven friends who have ls1s in the surrounding 50 miles of my house and we all run around sometimes. Pretty much anyone who has a ls1 around here I know about it,not to many really.
