So my friend calls me up last friday and tells me that this dude that he's with wants to race.

We meet up on this old road, thats like 2 miles long.
He's in a riced out 2000 civic with a huge wing and a HUGE exhaust and a body kit with red neon underglow..

I told him that i would have 3 people in my car, and my heavy backpack, and still bet him 20$

He says he wont race me unless i really run him.. so i tell everyone to get out and take my backpack out.. and my friend flags us off.

He stayed with me until 2nd gear and i just fly past him when i grab 2nd.. He's left behind me about 7 cars so i slow down and does the typcial rice burner flyby.

He hands over his 20$ and i told him we'll go back and i'd give him another chance to win his money back.

Everyone gets in my car and we use the honking method.. 3 honks and we're off.. this time i get better traction and i bet him in 1st, and still own him in 2nd, beating him by the same amount..

When it was all over.. i went up to his window and im like 'well i thought u were going to rape me' and hes like 'damn what the hell you got in there, a v8?' And im like.. na just its just a 6banger with a few bolt ons.. He feels embarrassed and hands me another 10$ and says 'damn that was embarrassing.. take this pack of cigs too'.

30$ + a pack of cigs for free.. Not bad for a friday night

 

Wow. That is a sweet story man :thumbup: I was reading, and I read "at first he kept up to me" and I was like.. "WTF??", how in the HELL is a freaking CIVIC keeping up w/ an LS1/LT1??". But then I read your sig and relized it is a 3.8

 

It takes boost, a built engine, or nitrous for a Civic to keep with a stock LT1 or LS1. They probably need tires, also.

most of the civics cant even catch my 3.8 .. so they're going to have a hard time catching a lt1/ls1 unless they have what i listed, and then it would be a 1 time thing b/c they would blow the motor as soon as they started it ^.^

Good Kill, I too thought this was a boosted Civic vs. an LS1. Way to represent the 3800.

 

Ahhh memories....I use to fry my share of rice with my 96 3800 RS camaro, I could get it off the line really well and it made short work of plenty of civics and even won me some money against an integra GSR.

 

I know a guy with a built 8 valve motor, turbo, intercooler, and slicks in a CRX that beats me, and stock LS1s at the track all the time.

once again, the moral of the story is who has the most amount of money to sink into their car to win. just dish out the million dollars already and buy the mclaren f1. good kill tho.

 

actually the moral is you put $10,000 into a civic to make it tie a $10,000 stock z28.

I am in no way defending the stupid little ricer CRX crowd. Believe me, I hate the idea of them. I am just saying what it takes for one of the rice cars to keep with a stock LS1 or LT1. Yes 4 pooper Hondas are pathetic.

 

Anything honda with just a turbo will still be beatin by an LT1 (this one will be a very tight race.. but the LT1 will come out on top) and and LS1 will simply whoop it.

 

Wrong. An S2000 with a turbo will probably beat a stock LS1. There are probably other bone stock Hondas with turbos that will beat LT1s and maybe LS1s.

 

I kept up with a stock S2000 in my 3.8. *wink
