You joined specifically to post that? A convertible LT1 with exhaust mods isn't going to gain all that much power over stock. I'm betting it's a 102 mph car at best, especially with the top down.
Adding power to a car that comes with forced induction is quite easy. It's no surprise that you're faster than some v8's now. So what? I'll bet my family sedan is too, and it's also still on a stock cat-back. I don't have any videos with cool background music to post so I'll just have to leave it up to the imagination.
I haven't run into any Colbalts around here yet but I did have a Saturn version of the car pick a race with my Stealth. It was on an interstate on-ramp and he got his clock cleaned. It was frumarol, which is his strong point, yet he kept getting stomped by the 4000 lb v6 car -- which also retained its stock cat-back section. It didn't matter if we started from 60,70,80, or what - it was brutal.

Help me understand what went on in the video. So the Cobalt walked a vert 95 LT1 Z...this I get, but the start of the vid shows a 98 Formula LS1 vert and at the end shows it blowing by the cobalt.
The video caption makes sure you know that the Z got the jump and the balt pulled 1.5 cars STILL, but when the formula wins at the end the vid ends quickly and says...more to come.
Whats up with that

Yeah it was a nice day thats why he had it down, we raced before and it really did not make that much difference but we also went at the same time.
ACtually it was a h/c/i/ geared ls1 6 speed and i was a car back from 40 to 100. I have also beaten other ls1's i didn't know the mods besides catback and he was 2 cars back from a roll to 100.
thats because the Z barely had any mods... your car is clearly pullied with an intake and exhaust(read the vid, idk how you have "full bolt ons" with stock catback but whatever)... cobalts trap about 96-99 stock...and uh lets see more boost plus "full bolt ons" makes it about a 106-109 car(guessing) now the Z28 has a whole intake and exhaust... im doubting a 13.8 at 104 (mainly the 104) due to it being a vert Z with just intake and exhaust... unless hes got about 50-60* of timing in it and its a ticking time bomb theres no way a heavy *** vert is going to trap 104 with intake and exhaust
