I beat a 04 cobra tonight that had bolt ons. He had a chip and stinger exaust. He claim to made 411 at the wheels, we did a dead stop and he got back up to me at bout 100 mph. We then did a 10 kick and he could not pass me!! HEHE I loved it but the fear that his whining supercharger still went thro me. Anyways i had to tell erebody.

 

What do you drive and what mods do you have?

 

I drive a 94 z28 with a full Lightweight 355 with 11to1 compression full boltons ported heads and the 233/239 cam from combo. It is a 6 speed and 4.56 gears. the car is full trim, umm i guess thats it the 4.56s is what was costing me the top end but giving me the down low o well.

 

Thats cool. Yeah the way those things sound scares me... lol

Do alot of highway driving with those steep gears? Hell you probably run the same RPM as I do with an A4.

basically the only reason i want a T56 swap.

 

Exactly why I would like one too. Sure I could mod up the A4 for 1/4 and street racing, but when it comes to driving long distances, I'm be screwed. Where as with the T56 I am crusing along easy.

Where in Ohio you from?

Are the 3.73's that bad or do the good outweigh the bad?

well if you already have 3.23's i probably wouldn't get 3.73's. but i had 2.73's before so it made a BIG difference.

The gears arent as bad as you would think. 70 mph is about 2300. If I didnt have the gears the car wouldnt be a car i would wanna drive, all the weight loss i did in the rotating mass adds up to be about 40 lbs, so the inertia (sp) is hard to keep goin. Its hard to take off even with the 4.56's.
