Beamers suck

I raced a brand new 335i the other day 3 times on an open stretch of highway and was able to hold him to my rear window until about 100 at which we let off. I was really suprised at how fast those cars are! I did a little research and that actually sounds about right as they are good for anywhere between 13.6 and 13.4.

After I beat him he and his friend were writing stupid messages on a piece of paper saying derogitory comments to the wife. I grabbed a hand full of change and motioned like I was going to throw it at him to which he finally backed off.

Then on the way home from Syracuse NY some asshat in a older 5series with two infants in his car was hell bent on racing me. He ending up doing a fly-by at what had to be near 120mph He actually lost control on the off ramp and almost slid into the guard rail. Somebody had to be watching out for those kids.

I honestly will hold a grudge against BMW owners as I have been seeing all the time now the actions people in these cars make.

All in all I was happy with the first race but what followed kinda sucked.

Yeah,
Some people need their license...and kids revoked.
Good kill on the first guy though...

I do agree that BMW owners are some of the smuggest car people I have met. I have volunteered for the BMW's "Drive for the Cure" for the last three years, and most of the BMW owners honestly believe that BMW is God's gift to us in what a car should be. They get a bit butthurt when you point out areas that you feel the cars are lacking.

One year I was mentioning that the 6 series felt like it needed more power, less weight, or both. IMHO, a $70,000 sports car should accelerate like a car that costs $70,000. One of the people that was falling over the car mentioned that I was just having a case of sour grapes and my car couldn't accelerate as fast as the 6 series. I let him know what I drove, and he walked away realizing that he had been defeated.

Maybe the title of the thread should be "Beamer owners Suck."

I think that BMW makes fine cars. I think that the attitudes carried by the owners of these cars is the issue.

truth....even more so the attitudes of american bmw owners give the cars a bad name. in most other countries bmw owners are regular performance drivers (sans cocky attitude).

I think that the BMW drivers that everyone hates are the ones that buy new cars and pay the dealer to do all their work for them (this is the majority of bimmer drivers in the US). I've autocrossed with the DFW BMWCCA and they are a pretty cool group - most of them have older cars and do their own work.

One thing all BMW drivers have in common though is their willingness to pay high prices and their patience to wait several weeks for car parts.

I roasted a 335i the other day on I-10 between Phoenix and Los Angeles. He was being stupid at 85MPH until he came up to my rear-end.

I let him pass and hung on his tail up until traffic cleared, he tried to pull away, but after dropping into 5th, I just mashed it and obliterated him in short order. I was up to about 140 and ten car lengths ahead of him in about 30 seconds.

I love imports....they're delicious.

So what did I say to you again that made you post that?

I ran at a D/A of 2947ft where the track is actually at 903ft. It was REALLY bad out for racing so I have a corrected time aswell until I run again tomorrow.

Don't get your d**k hurt over the fact that my car can run faster than what the people here tell you it can. I'll have video after tomorrow to prove it too. I used to own a Camaro but I do not swing on either brands nuts because both GM and Ford have made some bad *** cars.

Granted alot of bad publicity has been created for the 2v Mustang, but there are a few of us who run em well and get decent times out of them.
