Talking Re: Amazing drifter

First thing driving in snow sucks with my frontwheel drive car going 30 in 3 inof snow is hard as hell but if your rear end does get out you really slide straight at least at firstwhich gives you a little time to straighten it out but still drift racing is the pansiest racing alive but I think it would be slightly more interesting than NASACAR which I think is the most boring racing EVER!!! Although their isnt many things I find more funny then whipping S***ies in my yard.

Re: Amazing drifter

the way he was whipping that steering wheel around looked like he was playing "daytona" at the arcade. i was looking to see where he'd put the quarters in. just not a fan of drifting, unless its done in rally. now those are some good and crazy drivers.

Re: Amazing drifter

well........im not a big fan of the drifting and all, but i have to admit that the driving that guy was doing was at a pretty good speed and was certainly beyond my current abilities-props! tis good to keep our minds open to all types of motorsports in my opinion-they all require a good deal of honed skill, motocross, snowmobile cross, nascar, 1/4 mile, hell-you name it. (i think a great deal of bashers here would promptly jump behind the wheel of that car and plant it firmly in the damn wall attempting the same manuevers-jmo)

So there was no skill involved, just reckless disregard for your own life and those of others who were on the road as well? Yeah, don't think I'll be getting anywhere near Ohio while you're on the road.

IMO, I doubt drifting will catch on anywhere near as big as Nascar (which I abhor). It is cool to watch, even cooler if you can participate and watch yourself on video later. Usually involves lots of laughs.

Drifting: American Cars rocked!! <-- a thread of mine on another forum, has GTO pics.

regardless of what you guys think, one of the best, if not THE best, in formula D is a Pontiac GTO... The event had alot of fans and they wern't all your usual import crowd.

Thats me, since I put the black ice there. Absolutely no skill since I regained control and saved myself and the car. No one else was around it was too early in the morning, the highway was empty.

Re: Amazing drifter

LOL Looks like the stands are absolutely packed for the drifting event--- no doubt it will be replacing Nascar, F1, GT, etc. soon.

I personally think drifting is boring, but eh. Whatever. if other people enjoy it let them total all the cars they want.

Re: Amazing drifter

the stands in the pics in my thread were empty because those pictures were taken in practice/qualifying.... The stands actually were packed for the main event. It's not gonna replace anything, it's not racing, it's more about having fun with rwd and doing it better than everyone else.
