Almost took out a 99+GT with a slightly modded v6, (VID)
Jsut a warning sometimes when you click my vids **** comes up(crappy free video host) So NWS*
SO I was at the track I bogged the launch bad and just had a crappy run only ran a 14.9
mods...
-FRA
-shaved stock lid
-cutout
-lsd
-home depot smooth bellows
-removed jack and spare
and the belt was on for this run, I ran a 14.7 earlier in the night with the belt on.
Either way raced a 99+ GT with at least exhaust close race, he is faster, but I lighted him and almost edged him out by the end.
he won by 2/10ths but it was a 14.9 vs a 14.3.

Kills me is I bogged the launch and ran a 14.9...
I ran a 14.7 earlier, exact same setup... Ran 2 beltless runs before this and ran 14.6s, I would have had him on any of those runs..
-sorry for the rant, I just love would have had another "generation" of GTs I could say I beat in a clean race.

he didn't do an obvious blow off the line with like a 2.5 60' his r/t wasn't great. I bogged down on my launch, you can hear it in the car.
Whatever the circumstances he got a clean run, and it was damn close at the finish

btw for what its worth there are v6s much faster then me...
there are n/a v6s in the low 13s, and a guy running 13.7s all internally stock motor(granted lots of other bolt ons)

That was little G,(craig) he has 4.10s, suspension, tune and weight reduction I think his raceweight is like 3,000 flat, as in raceweight with him in the car.

The main reason it was close was the reaction time. He ran a 14.3 to your 14.9. Those times are not close at all. .6's is an eternity and 9mph is a huge difference in performance!!
