97 Z28 vs Mach 1

I caught up to a red mach 1 on 84, with clear road infront of us. My friend had a video camera, but his dad called him right as I was pulling up next to the mach 1. I was sitting there patiently at 60 waitin for him to make the first move, but he kept jumpin but not takin off. So I punch it at 60, side by side, and instantly start pullin him. I let off at 120 with a good 3 car lead on him. I think it was an M5 by the way it was jumpin next to me, cut I couldn't hear it over my exhaust. I was expecting it to be closer, and I wanted to talk to the guy but he hung back after that and turned right. I was expecting it to be closer, but I'm thrilled with the results.

Cliff notes
Bolton 97 Z28 puts 3 cars on mach 1

Good kill. Sometimes getting the jump on someobody can account for 1-2 cars due to reaction or having to manually downshift after the other guy took off.

We left pretty even, I was tryin to let him get the hit, but he just kept goosin it next to me. So I punched it, and when he heard it downshift he hit it too, I would say it was a pretty damn even start.

There pretty sick cars, basically racing a 96-98 cobra in different clothing. I've only raced one and beat him pretty bad, but the guy could not drive worth a crap. My 8.9 to his 9.4, a good bolt on lt1 will at least be side by side with one on the highway.

A mach 1 would walk all over a 96-98 cobra. They are even faster than the 99-01 cobras, a guy on ls2.com is claiming he ran a 12.9 stock.

Just a plain old red Z28 with 00+ style wheels on it, and the chrome hooker exhaust tips. Where in davie are you? I'm in ivanhoe, between griffen and sheridan on volunteer road.
