'96 Z28, '96 'Stang GT, '73 Vette

Well, I had a very interesting weekend. I'll start in reverse:

The last run was against my buddy's '96 Z28 M6 (CAI, Flowmaster Cat-back). We went from a dig on his third honk and I raped him out of the hole. Three cars by the top of 2nd. He got a crappy launch, but he really didn't have a chance against my 4.10s and 11" Nitto DRs.

The second run was against a Black '96 Mustang GT M5. I was cruising along and they passenger (a drunken redneck) was like "You want some, you want some?" and I was like "Yeah, I want some." So they led me out to a deserted country road and we went from a dig. A woman was driving but she seemed to know what she was doing. They said one, two, three, go and jumped me by almost a solid second. But I got a good launch, put half a car on in first, probably 3 in second and shut it down after that. Afterwards they were like, "Well, you got it, good run." I said "Yeah, see ya, be careful." LOL.

The first run on Saturday Night. A '73 Stingray Corvette with a ZZ4 Crate Motor (at least 355bhp, 405tq) 3spd auto Powerglide Tranny on a car that weighed in at under 3200lbs. That's what he told me, anyway. We did this one from a slow roll (I thought I was doing him a favor); on my third honk I punched it, pulled a car held it there until a 100, where he just walked by me. From a dig through the quarter, it would've been a different story, because he has crappy low end, and even worse tires. Well, the worst part was after he passes me, one of the guys we had blocking off the raod decides to drive up it and the guy in the Vette panics hits the brakes and his tries lock up and into a ditch he goes at probably a buck twenty. I have no idea how he didn't hit a tree, all I know is that he was lucky as crap. Nobody got hurt and the car got back to his house safely with no cops invovled. Actually managed to drive it part-way home. Bad cracks in the fiberglass and a ripped off front bumper, but not totaled, thankfully. Definitely scary for him and the passenger, though. When he gets it back on the road, we're definitely going from a dig though....

Tell tha idiot in the 73 that the power glide has only 2 gears-1st and second-unless he was counting reverse too. Good kills!

"you want some?"-----classic idiot.
