96 Supra TT & 02 WS6 vs Big Bertha

This was on the track even if the story doesn't sound it, copied from my post on another forum.

Last night I was cruising on the strip and saw a black supra turning off a side street, so naturally I followed. He stopped at the ATM to get some money so I pulled up and we talked for a little bit, the car sounded a little sick so like a lion I jumped on the chance for a kill on the stock looking beast.

So we first go from a 3rd gear roll...I know better than that and I was right on that one. We then went from a 1st gear roll and we held dead even until we shifted into 3rd gear at which point he decided to make me his *****. As it turns out he makes 405rwhp but had the boost down and he figured it was around 350 in its current trim. Turns out I knew of him from the local forum, he also has a turbo SS camaro and such, we talked for 3 hours in a parking lot after, good race.

That brings me to tonite, poor Bertha has been moving a little sluggish today after her loss last night. Anyway as im almost home I see a white WS6 up ahead, Bertha see's it as well and her exhaust tone grew deeper, I knew Bertha wanted another chance.

We play a little and then the passenger says there is a cop up ahead, so we pass the cop and get to a start light side my side. We wait for the light to change and I hear the TA bring its rev's up so I kinda half hazardly did and launched as well, just trying not to spin and take myself out of the race off the start. Through first and second I fell back to his door and figured thats just how it was going to go down but when we shifted 3rd and I started to run it out to my surprise good ol Bertha gave her a little extra and I pulled by and put him at my rear bumper when I shut down on the 3-4 shift.

It was a killer race, we stopped and talked in the parking lot for a little bit. Good races with cool people, I wouldn't have it any other way...well, maybe beat the supra, but I have no business with a supra after 2nd gear...and was surprised to take the LS1, but Bertha and I needed those.

Good death/kill.
So how much are you puting down? I thought with heads/cam, an LT1 would be at least 350+Hp?

I haven't been able to dyno ityet, but I figure probably only around 300whp. Its a pretty mild cam, I am in need of some longtubes and then I would like to see 330+. I could also use a new tune.

Cool. Just wonderin. Sometimes on here all ya see is the 800hp bolt on Z's.
I do see you just have ported heads though(instead of aftermarket ones).
Nice car!

Hehe, yeah its a 94, and its a 6spd. Car was making around 340-350rwhp or so. Its a fairly close race in 1st and 2nd since the motor is not loaded all I can get is 10psi or so. When I hit 3rd the boost then climbs to 14psi, thats when it starts to pull away. It was a fun race indeed. On high boost (19-20)psi, the car made 429rwhp/454rwtq. We'll have to tangle again, maybe at the strip one night.

I have no +'s. The car has a rmm downpipe, DMH eletric cutout, spring mod and K&N filter, those are the only mods when the car dynoed those #'s. It backed it up with a 12.01@118.XXmph and 7.80@93.XX track time the next day. Car has always run strong since stock. Bone stock with paper filter it went a 13.21@107.
