On the other side of things though, I can say that they are a good bit faster with a pulley. My friend put a 3.4 on his and it felt significantly stronger. He sold the car though like a dork and got an Envoy.

I can't speak to what each mod is worth because I haven't dynoed after each step. However, I have basically the same mods, actually less, and my car went from a 14.7 stock to a 13.6. Something tells me that adds up to a little more than the 22 that you give credit for (that's sarcasm too).

That pulley probably gives him around 20HP at the wheels. If not more than that.
The deleting the U-Bend thing ... Have you ever seen a GTP up on a rack? Its a major restriction in the ezxhaust. This makes a larger difference on FI motors than it does on a NA one. I would say he likely gained another 5 at the wheels at least from this.
The K&N can be argued, but there is no doubt, they certainly do flow well. I would bet he gained 2-3 here too.
The plugs are important on a FI motor. Very critical because the boost can actually put the spark out if the gap is too large. Killing power.
Drilling the thermostat isn't that rediculous. I bet you wouldnt laugh at someone with a 160* stat on their LT/LS motor ? Again, running cooler on a FI motor makes a significantly larger difference than it does on a NA one. It may sound rediculous, but he probably gained another 2-3 here. For free.
I'm betting that he is at at least 30-35 more than stock at the wheels. In a car that weighs, I think, around 3300ish lbs.
