Yeah, except for '93 Cobras, '93 LX 5.0 strippers, and '96-'97 Cobras. Year vs. year of course.
I dont remember a 93 Cobra, or LX dipping into the thirteens bone stock. 96-97 Cobra's are a drivers race. Every magazine comparison, or first hand experience shows the camaro edging out the cobra, even if its by a little bit. Just my .02, nice kill.

'93 5.0 Stripper couldn't touch a '93 LT1 if it was ALSO a stripper.

all i hear in the earlier portion of this strand of threads AFTER what i posted.... is a couple of guys ranting about how people think they can smoke the world with a K&N filter and flowmasters.... dude.... nobody said anything about being able to kill every car, we just said this was a car we DID kill.... fact is, there are cars out there pumpin 4 second ETs on the 1/4.... you runnin with that? there is always someone faster, and until he comes along you have fun rippin on the slower ones.... isnt that what this side of the forum is about? racing victories? i for one am proud of every pony i put down.... the ones that do take me, and several have, i have respect for.... only because the other guy has more cash to stick under the hood

I wouldn't call edging out by a little bit, "owning the streets."

Yes, but I call owning the streets pulling on a car by buslengths every couple of seconds.

Well we differ by definition then.

When I think of owning the streets, it reminds me of "King of the Hill". You own the streets till there's someone faster.

Know how many LS1s and Cobras are around here? Not very many.

Re: 96-98 stang vs the z

im talkin top fuel dragsters, fastest of the fast... there is always a monster out there that will make you **** your pants.... until you pull up in the driver seat of a car with a couple grand of HP under the hood..... you really aint owning much...... wanna talk about 13s and 14s... i know people with S-10s and Vegas running 9 seconds flat.... no one said anything about being able to **** on the grille of every car... but there is something to be said about a street car, without NOS, naturally aspirated, that will win 8 races out of 10.... on the street of course.... just respect the fact that not all people can afford to dump in $8000 superchargers and full intake and head setups... but we are still proud of what we can accomplish, a damn near bone stock chevy motor ****tin on almost any mildly suped up ford..... read my sig line....
