3rd gen vs. 99 S-10 Extreme
3rd gen vs. 99 S-10 Extreme
3rd gen has open element w/ K&N filter, Flowmaster 80 series and cat removed.....All emission tubing is gone and the smog pump has been taken off.
The s-10 has a cold air intake, turbonator throttle body spacer and flowmaster true duals.....
What do you guys think on the outcome of this race?????

Alright.....the guy who used to have the truck said that the s-10 felt a lot slower than his '90 Z71 350 throttle body.....so I figured that I could beat the s-10 since I pulled on his Z71 strong.
I beat one with similar mods (at least the visible ones - exhaust, giant tach, etc).
The best part is I wasn't in my Stealth - I was in my 01 Grand Marquis. It's the LSE (sport) package with 3.27's, a K&N, and Superchips programmer. My SOTP-meter says it runs mid 15s at around 87-90 mph. I'll actually run it once I ditch the one-wheel-peel for a Detroit Truetrac.
The guys in the S10 didn't think I was serious when I answered their rev with powerbraking of my own. They just laughed -- until the light turned green anyway.
