2002 Z28 vs 1996 Cobra

Well this happened a couple months back, but here's the story anyway.

I've got two brother in laws, one's a Ford guy and one's a Dodge guy, and of course yours truly is the GM guy.

Search "Shreveport LA General Motors Blvd" and street view it, then imagine that road at 3am. We actually raced from where Dinkins Dr. And General Motors BLVD meet. This is an easy 2.5 mile stretch of 4 lane well lit road.

With the G-Force KDW TAs outback and about a 2.5k launch I defeated his 96 Cobra with ease. 1 of 3 to me

Because there was alot of wheelspin sounds from that race, I launched at 2k for the next race.

Bogged it off the line, reeled him in, passed and race 2 of 3 goes to me.

I launched again at 2k for the final race and again bogged off the line and again reeled him in and passed him. He missed 3rd gear.

Turns out that he was the one spinning from the first race.

3 of 3 races go to me

Mid 90s cobras are nothing special stock.

I worked a 95 cobra in a 13.9 second GTP.

The Cobra he raced had about 65 more HP from the factory than the one you raced...

Yes, I know. I was still saying that they were nothing special in the mid 90s.

A 95 cobra and a 96 cobra is a day and night difference. One is a 4v Dohc mod motor and one is your old 5.0. NA 4V Dohc Cobras(96-01) can run mid to higher 13's stock w/ the right driver.

Yeah, I heard this the first time, and I also ALREADY said I know the difference. They still were nothing special. Especially to an LS1.
