the later comments were not ment to start any chevy/ford war but my opinion on how its apples to apples if you only compare the gt to ls1. once you change any factor in that, its apples to oranges. anyone here can probably run on about it..."cobra has a s/c, ok well 20 years ago the grand national...blah blah blah," sorry was just thinking outloud. nothing else ment. figured id clear that up so you dont think im a total a$$hole.

i know they time your 60', 1/8, and 1/4 at most tracks but do you guys have tracks that are limited to 1/8 mile?

No problem, i dont think your an a$$hole by any means.

I am not too gooed on 1/8 mile comparisons, i know there are websites that have conversions to what aprox you would run in the 1/4. I am not sure what the RPO code for SS was i dont think it is ws6, but somebody else can chime in about that.

Negative, the LS1 makes way more than 300 HP. The LS1s M6 or A4 have consistently been able to put down 300(+) RWHP, the Mustang's 300 is Flywheel HP. Also ,like stated before the 03+ Cobra, and the Mach 1s would beat/be a good race for the LS1 cars. The 05 Mustang, from what I have seen, although a good improvement in GT form, isn't a match for the LS1 cars. This race would have been very different had it went 1/4 mile.

Nice kill man. I love hearing our cars making short work of these things. BTW, do you have an A4 or a M6?

out here in tucson the fastest time I've seen an 05 go is 14.7 @ 93 but ls1s also usually run low 14s.

Hmm I want to race a 05 gt now. I ran a 9.33 in the 1/8th with a misfire and before I put my headers on.

I'd still like to know if he has an A4 or a M6. His cardomain site didn't give me a good look at the shifter, but i'm guessing auto?

A few small mods worth $2500 to hang with a LS1? I will go purchase a H&C setup for my LT1 and waste a stock LS1, and that stang. Just messin with you

Hey Angus whats in your Mach1. and I'm sorry everybody I got the acual $ from my friend and at first he said over $2000 for the mods but now he says the following.

Magnaflow - $500
Tune- $500
Lowering(not much to do with performance)- $250
Intake - $500
Thats with labor on everything so he spent a total of $1750.

Also there was a stock mustang that was beating both of us with an 8.5 and he later admited to a 60 shot of n20! I knew it!

Re: 2000 Z28 VS Modded 2005 Mustang GT

Oh really? Then how is it that your car (03 mach 1) runs about 14 sec. in the 1/4 mile, when a 98 Camaro Z28, 4 years older, runs high 13s? The Camaro didn't just stop in 1998, it got a little better until 02, while the stang was still trailing behind, along with many others. And although it may not seem so, I am not a Mustang hater, I like to get into the rivalry and all but I don't hate. Just the facts, jack. It didn't happen 3 years ago from now. And it didn't happen 3 years ago from the demise of the Camaro.

I see the track times in your sig. Nice goin . But you're not stock. My comment was made about stock vs. stock.
