I picked up 2.5 mph when I added my 1.6 RR's, LT4 springs and took my speakerbox,spare tire and jack out of my car

 

Seems a bit slow for bone stock. Maybe there was something off there from the beginning. My 93 was hitting 13.9-14.0 @99 mph bone stock except sticky tires.

If I did a 14.3 stock, and with my mods you think I should do a low 13 (13.1-13.3) that would be a full second drop from headers, cutout, intake. So therefore you said it was.

93camaroLT1, AZ is the not the place to get great times. On the night that I ran my car for the first time an automatic LS1 was doing 14.0s@98-99. An auto LS1 GTO with full exhaust (shorties and a catback tho) was doing 14.0s@99. That night, a 6spd GTO was getting 13.6@102. An LS1 with H/C/G was only doing low 13's@107. It sucks ***** here. DA is usually around 2000ft. It needs to be a perfect night to get a good time. Otherwise, all we can do is go for consistency and gauge how much mods drop.

 

Another possible reason is that with all of your intake and exhaust mods you have moved your powerband farther up the rpm range. Good for peak numbers (hence you outrunning your buddy on the street) but not so good for average below peak (slow start times.)

 

I'm confused: Your sig says stall/tune. Do you have those now? What's your times? I'd say your car should have at least 103mph in it (though I'm not sure about the elevation... but LT/full exhaust car should be good for 104-5 out here)

I honestly think you'd run better times on street tires. Your car might not have enough power for the ET streets. What size are they?

 

Yeah, this thread was done before the stall and tune. I haven't been to the track since. MTETs are 255/50r16.

 

Well, see what happens. I'm not sure how your DA compares to mine but I ran 13.9@96 missing fourth on my last time I had my car at the track with a best mph of 101.6. Just shorty headers, 52mm TB, 2otl, lcas, etc. My car has mid 13's in it based on my trap (I ran a 2.29 60') but I don't really care to take it to the track just for a number on the paper. I'll go again in a year or so but my car is mainly a cruiser for me.

Anyway, honestly if that LS1 is running good and you barely beat your time I'd say your doing good. A LS1 around here is capable of running 13.4 stock easy. I'm assuming your time is slow to me because of either your altitude or track prep. It's not like your running 13.9@106 or something.

With your mods and some gear you should be able to do a 13.0 around here.

 

The tires are too much, that I know. But consistency is worth more than a couple tenths. My bro and I need to race this sunday.
