Cool 06 charger r/t vs 97 camaro ss

was coming back from the grocery store tonight so i was carrying some weight and i jammed up on the freeway, got up to like 80mph then let off then all of a sudden i seen these mean little lights in my mirrors and they were coming kinda aggressive. From the headlights I knew it was a charger and he was going to try and blast past me so i threw it in third and punched it. We started at about 70mph and i punched it, as we accelerated i could see his lights on my *** in driverside mirror and i was closing quick on a car in front. i was just barley pullin on him and we were up at about 110 to 120mph and i was about to slam on the breaks to avoid the car in front when he pulled to the far lane to let me in. we kept up with it and i took the far right lane and had to exit. Overall he didnt get to pass me and for a brief moment during lane changing we just looked at each other side by side as i was winding down. Should i have taken him out big time? my electric cut out was closed and my intake that connects to my hood was a little loose at the MAF.

i looked up the base hp on the charger 350hp and 390tq and with a 15% drivetrain loss thats about 297hp to the wheels and 331tq. when i dynoed my car last i put down 312 hp and about 330tq with my cut out open i would have pulled harder i think

They'll typically trap around 100-101 mph. I looked it up a few weeks back when I had a Daytona version (positive because it was Go Mango orange) jump on my Subaru.

I thought he wasn't interested and then he nailed it from a 30 punch. We were close till around 60 when I started pulling and after 80 the difference increased even more so I shut down by 100 with a car or two lead. He was totally confused.

They dyno slightly lower than the raw numbers would suggest; around 280 hp / 290 tq is what I saw. My four cylinder does that or above and weighs only 3300 lbs so I won

i seen a video on youtube and it was a man go charger r/t that dynoed at 307hp, looked like the same one cause it had these bigass rims with spinners. i would think that would slow the car down.

they're all autos

on a side note... RTs are slow. My roommate used to own a 06 RT, car was slow as hell. He now has a modded SRT8 that runs 12.7. Its hard to get that big *** boat moving. LOL
