Who really cares if it flys past after the finish line. Its a race to the finsh line .Its not to see how fast your going at the end. Its ET that matters not MPH.
There are a lot of stock LS1's on here that run slower than 13.3
And since the mustang hooks up better (as you say) and most stoplight races are shorter than a quater mile it probaly wont be much fun losing to a '05 in a 300-660 foot race.
At the track its the initial launch thats the most fun at the end of the track is just holding on and whether its 101 or 108mph it still feels slow until you get in the 130mph range.
On average the LS1 probaly is quicker but Ford definatly closed the gap and they're planning a Mach 1 and Cobra and possibly a Boss version.
What really sucks is that if they still made the F body most likely it would have the 400hp LS2

Spinner, Alot of magizine drivers are'nt that great at getting the best times out of test cars not counting the legend Evan Smith. Now thats a guy who can drive a car.12.8 in a stock '98 Z and 12.4 in a stock '03 cobra and 11.99 in a '04 Z06

From what I hear its the computer killing the new GTs trap speeds...there dynoing in the 260-70's stock...startin to see alot more 13.3's being run on various stang sites and they do seem to get outta the whole very well...remeber guys these cars have only been around a mth or so and these times are being ran already.
