"he put on some underdrive pulleys and changed injectors"

so he gained 5hp from the pulley and depending on the a/f ratio of the car...gained nothing with the injectors.

sounds like a knowledgable car guy.

PLEASE go teach him a lesson.

This is an Fbody site, therefore, by default, you'll win. :-)

thats not always true. actually i mention your car from time to time if someone says all mustangs are trash. just wish you'd tell me what your new numbers are with this setup.

just because this is a f-body site, thats not going to make my car fast enough to beat yours.

My new numbers? Unknown since I max'd out the Bosch 390LPH fuel pump last dyno visit. I'll be upgrading to dual Bosch 390's soon and have nothing to hide. What am I shooting for? I'd like to see 9.X ET's but we'll see.......

Stock-for-stock, it's the truth!! Anything less than a win is driver error .

Sorry Ford has only built 2 cars that have been clear winners (albeit, AFTER production of the F-bodies ended) . I'm looking forward to the 5th-gen carrying on the tradition of kicking Mustang's asses .

Once modding starts, all bets are off ... no shyte .

It really should be a very close race.On average both cars are high 13 second cars.A lot of ls1 lovers and owners in denial will say the ls1 is a low 13 to high 12 second car stock.I have seen a lot of ls1's run stock and have never seen one in the 12's.I have only heard of a handful.Normal 1/4 mile time for a ls1 is 13.5-13.9 not 13.4 to 12.9.There is a lot of bs on here.

I witnessed a stock M6 99 T/A back in '99 run a 13.07 at 108+ at Rockingham during a Mustangs v. F-body event. That time sticks in my mind because it is the fastest stock LS1 I have witnessed, and at a track 100 ft. above sea level. Just like any other car though the norm will be slower than the good times people can get when they can drive and the conditions are right.

I was wrong about his 13.9 in the 1/4. It was a 13.5.
We raced this weekend in Greensboro. It was 10:30 and we were lined up at the light it turned green and i got him by 2 cars to 85 there were cars ahead we couldn't keep going.

Naw. "Normal" time for an LS1 is 13.xxx . LOTS of guys run 13.4's, .3's, .2's, and even .0x's . LOTS. Albeit, a lot run up to 13.9's, and SOME (probably as rare as 12-second LS1's) run 14's . Mine did the first time to the track when it was brand new!

I'd say the true "average" for LS1's is ~13.5.

In most cases, it's safe to say you have a "13-second car" .

would changing injectors even do anything on a basically stock car bc i would think the stock injectors could provide enough fuel for near stock performance.

A friend of mine has a manual 05 with gears and CAI and I raced him in my LT1 with just a cAI and beat him bye a tenth. AUto 2:73 LT1.
LS1 should destroy that thing.

A guy at work just showed me his buddy's time-slip yesterday ... '07 Mustang GT, 5-speed, stock ..... ran a 14.2xx @ 98.xxx mph!! That was his time-slip, not just "word of mouth".

SO, my buddy's '97 Z28 M6 that ran a 13.75 (stock) could beat that no problem!
