Guy at work has an 01 SS with flows cat-back, Claims LS6 Intake, and 3.42's. I have spec 3 clutch, borla cat-back, Suspension mods, short throw, and few minor other things. Both are M6's. I think it'll be hella close...but who do you think will take it?

Should be a very close race. The 01 and 02 LS1's do have LS6 intake manifolds though.

 

My money is on the 01 with equal drivers. I have owned a 99 and 01 LS1. It is a night and day difference between mine. The 01 has the LS6 intake, different cam, higher flowing exhaust manifolds, LS6 clutch and no EGR intruding into the intake manifold.

Now putting the driver into it, a good driver can easily make up the difference between the two versus an average driver.

Im thinking of doing a cut-out b4 this happens also. Would that possibly give me the edge? Figure its cheaper then some headers right now.
