I sure did think it was off.....until I used the SCT to re-program the speedometer.

I've paced the wifes car too to check speeds once I got home to make sure it took, as I cannot get any tickets or I will lose my job. We also have a speed enforcement sign on the highway(I490) that will give you a digital read out of your current mph.

PM me your phone number and I will text you the little video of 4th gear bud(Canton or anyone else), hell I'll take a longer video where I am cruising and slowly going up in speed to show you.

So many people are getting dick hurt over this. I never thought I would have the thread that gets the bs flag and whistle show, especially when I am offering to prove it to anyone.

Anything can happen on the street.

That being said I have been in enough mod motor cars to know how they do and don't run.

All I need is a timeslip.....

How about three. I cannot find the 13.909@101.68 but I do have my fastest and two over 101.

This was done without my gears, DRs, and LT(which are still in basement)

Even with gears, I think my wife's 06 GT would give you a good run, if not beat you from a roll and it is pretty weak in 4th gear @ 50 mph with a chunk more power.

I meant a timeslip with your new mods.

I think 13.90s with a mild modded or stock GT (99-04) is extremely possible. How do I know? you may ask yourselves... I owned an 01 that only had 870 miles on the ticker and took it to Darlington International raceway in SC. Completely stock I ran 4 runs from 13.89-13.99 @ 100 mph. Short times were 1.96 average. Call it a freak, call it a tailwind or whatever helps you sleep at night, but mine flat out ran good times.

4.30 gears are a tremendous help , if you can keep any type of traction.

I have also owned a 96 Trans am A4 with 2.73 gears that was a 14.10 car on average with a couple mild boltons...i.e filter and flowmaster.
I could never get the car down under a 14 second time...never, until the modding started.

On the flip side of the coin, I have seen a few LT1s run 13.80s with no trouble stock.

There are LT1's that from the factory can run a high 13, does that mean anything...no. Its just an exception to the rule.

No offense Canton as I respect your opinion highly on here, but if that car is stock then there is no way that would happen.

Check out popsracing.com and momsracing.com, they are two large Mustang clubs in upstate and Western NY. I have never lost to a stock 05+ from any roll, manual or auto and I run with both groups. From a dig you could most likely get me as I still have to work on my launch. Unless we were going for a top end run past 120 or so.........I'm willing to bet I wouldn't even see the car unless I peered into the rear view.

The only reason my et was so high was because I launched at 1500-1600rpms so I would not spin the Kuhmo Ecstas I had out back at 35psi(was afraid to drive the 3miles to the gas station on 20psi). It is apparent when you look at the 60ft time. The track altitude at NYIRP is 900ft and the DA that day was 2947ft.

Hate to say it but I seen a mod-motor car with bolt-ons thats a beats as well ...

One of my best friends has a 99' GT with Pulleys & CAI. And it ran consistant 14.2's on a 2.4 60' time. Cut it down to a 2.0 60' and that is a solid high-13 second car with 2 jokes for mods. He just did headers, cattted X-Pipe, and SLP catback, if you can call it that. Those mufflers are a joke. Hollow tube lol. Awesome. But anyways, for whatever reason, you do get an occasional 4.6 that really ****ing moves. Just like you run across some LT1's that run solid 13's stock, and the occasional LS1 that runs 12's stock. Some engines DO run stronger than others. And probably 99% of that goes back to how the motor was broken in. 1% to if the guy who built your engine was hungover.

Last time I took my wife's car to the track it ran the following:

60' - 2.1362
330' - 5.8793
1/8 - 8.9539@79.78
1/4 - 13.7640@103.22

DA was almost 3000'.
