Where do you guys get your longer brake lines when doing the LT to LS front brake conversion (at least the ones that decide to get longer ones)? Would like to get some steel braded ones. And also, would I get them for a LS1 since I am currently using the LS2 brake line brackets? Thanks.

Just buy LS1 brake lines. They can be had at most of the vendors on this site.

I got LS brake lines with the conversion. If I get a new set at an autoparts store, arent they gonna be the same length? I have the LS's on the car now and I don't like how tight they are and would like to get a longer line.

if you look at the LS1 line you'll see how it comes from the caliper and bends upward toward the top of the caliper. I think i just unbolted that brake line and moved it to the side so instead of point up toward the top of the caliper its pointed in toward the engine bay of the car, that helps make the line longer.

I reversed the calipers and put the left on the right and the right on the left. This moved the hose hook up higher and allowed me to use the stock LS1 hoses without having to bend metal lines or make other mods.
Been working just fine.

I think you want to stay away from this plan as it can make bleeding difficult. The Bleeder screw needs to be on the highest point on the caliper if not trapped air can't excape.

Oh, yeah I forgot to mention the car needs to be turned upside down to bleed the front brakes properly.

Yes I totally agree with that but they did bleed out just fine and the brakes stop hard.

Maybe I got lucky but I cant argue with ya'.

I would like to have some custom length hoses made in order to avoid bending lines.

The LS1 brakes use different brackets to mount the hoses. You can either rebend your brackets to make more room or buy them from the chevy dealer. They're fairly cheap.
