Wheel hop in reverse
Wheel hop in reverse
Rear suspension: Spohn first generation adjustable torque arm (slider style), tubular LCAs, lower control arm relocation brackets, Moser 9", Eibach sport springs, tubular PHR, Bilstein shocks.
Issue: I get moderate to severe wheel hop, only in reverse, with mild to medium acceleration. I've tried setting my pinion angle to 0 degrees (normally I have it a negative 2 degrees), I've tried the middle hole on the LCA relocation brackets (normally I have them in the lower hole) and no change in the wheel hop. Forward is great (no wheel hop). Suggestions?

I experienced the same thing. When I went with LCA relocation brackets, my foreward traction increased but the car exhibited increased wheel hop in reverse. Evidently what is added to foreward momentum is subtracted in reverse. Remove the relocation brackets or quit stabbing the throttle in reverse.

I've eased into it in reverse a hundred times and never spun the tires. However, if I do spin the tires in reverse I get severe wheel hop every time. If your worried about traction in reverse, go for it. I'd rather work on having traction going forward.
