Re: wheel hop

lca relocation brackets. The stock lca's probably gave enough so the wheel wouldn't hop, but hop now from the stiffer lca. lca relocation brackets will fix this.

Re: wheel hop

If I read the originalpost right it sounds like he has them already? If so you alteered the IC and are putting more hit into the tire and less into the chasis which coupled with stock, worn out, or "lowered" shocks will make the rear end to stiff with too much anti squat, over loading the tires and starting the basket ball game

Re: wheel hop

thanks for the replies. i just had the car up on ramps an found the passenger side motor mount is broken. would that cause the rearend feel like its bouncing an the shifter moves all over the place? the car feels worse then it did when i had stock blown out shocks an springs. also how hard of a job is it to change the motor mounts an do they have any web site with pics of how to do it?

Re: wheel hop

never changed any on the newer stuff, but yes, a broken motor mount will cause all kinds of "bad feelings" in the car and will lead to other broken components given some time...good thing you caught it, now just get it fixed quickly!!

Naturally easier using a hoist, but I imagine getting the car high enough in the air will make the job pretty easy, definately have to put some tension on the motor via cherry picker to relieve the weight allowing removal and installation of the new mount.
