are v6 and v8 k-member the same?

are v6 and v8 k-member the same?

well I hit a curb yesterday, it caused a hole on the sidewall of the tire about the size of an apple , the rim does not look like its bent. and the k-member is dented and dont know if its damaged yet. so just wanted to know if they are interchangeable.

what if I swap the v8 mounts to the v6 k member, or is that just not possible

Not quite sure, but I would think if it were so, all the people that do V6 to V8 conversion would not be having to swap k-members.

oh I didnt think of that. the tires still seem to be centered in the wheel well so I guess thats good news.

look almost the same , only difference is the location of bolt holes and nuts for frame mounts for the engine mounts. I had both in front of me trying to decide which to cut up for a bbc swap, the 6cyl got chopped
