Upgraded to LS1 brakes...think I screwed up though
I spent this past weekend replacing the majority of the parts under the front end of my car (control arms, spindles, brakes, steering rack, tie rod ends, etc). I also swapped out the LT1 brakes for LS1 brakes. I'm using the rotors and pads that came with the swap since they still look OK. I didn't have any problems until it was time to tighten everything back up. The driver's side went OK, but one of the bolts on the passenger side refused to tighten down. It's one of the smaller allen head bolts...the one that fits into the guide pin.
Are these things supposed to spin once you get the bolt tight, or are my other three guide pins siezed up or something? I unbolted the whole caliper/cage assembly from the spindle to get the rotors on, so I didn't ever get around to disassembling the calipers. The brakes seem to work OK (drove it to the alignment shop yesterday...2 miles), but I want to make sure that everything works right before taking it on the highway or anything.
