torque bar and tire size
torque bar and tire size
One more question for you guys,The stock tires and rims that came on a 1995 Z were 16's.The tires and rims on this car I bought are 24540R17,would that make any difference on rear end pulling to right with the eldebrock torque bar?
Wrong size tire for the car, but it shouldn't affect how the Edelbrock torque arm reacts. I assume you're refering to you other post, which indicated you feel the torque arm is causing the rear suspension to "feel like its being pulled off the road" on bumps.
A 245/40-17 is a 24.7" tire. The stock rear tires were at least 25.7" (or even 26.1" if your car didn't have the Z-rated tires from the factory), so your tires are at least 1" too small in diameter. That causes the already too large gap between the tire and the fender to grow, and throws your speedo and odo off. If you haven't had the PCM corrected for the undersized tires, your speed is reading almost 4% higher than actual speed, and your odometer is adding an extra 38 miles to the car's mileage, for every 1,000 actual miles you drive.
But it won't affect the torque arm.
