Torque Arm.. Does it really matter?

Ok, here it goes.

I have a 1998 M6 Torque Arm for sale and a friend wants to buy it for his 1994 A4. Will it work? I don’t see why not other than the part numbers being different.

ANY help would be MUCH appreciated.
