Torque arm clearance problem.

I am having my suspension redone with BMR contol arms, adjustable panhard bar, adjustable torque arm, lower control arm relocation brackets and Bilstein BTS package (shocks and springs).
The problem is the torque arm... My mechanic says it is hitting the floor board.
The Bilstein springs lower the car an inch (or a little more, depending on who you talk to) The rear is centered with the panhard.
I have NEVER heard of any clearance issues with this torque arm! Does anyone have ANY idea what might be wrong? I've know my mechanic for a long time and I would like to beleive he knows what he is doing, but something is not right.
I need your help... Thanks
Cruiser

Re: Torque arm clearance problem.

If the bump stops are gone on the rear. That will cause it to hit the floor board. It did on mine anyway.

Re: Torque arm clearance problem.

Bump stops are still in place. I just stopped at the shop on my way to work this morning. There are 2 sets of mounting holes on the torque arm mount at the differential, he has not tried the other set of holes but he says that those will cause the u-joint to hit the torque arm mount. What holes has anyone with a BMR torque arm used?

The holes that bring the TA closer to the housing are for a 9'' rear

I have same problem with my Spohn. I'm about ready to go back to stock springs....

You are probably going to have to clearance the tunnel with a mallet, to get some room for the bigger mounting bracket on the diff.

Good Luck!
