Question Which Tires?

Greetings fellow tire guru's,

It is now time for a set of new tires for my Hawk as my Firestone Firehawk tires must be retired. I am in a bind between the Nitto NT-555's and the Eagle F1 Supercar tires. Please give me ALL your thoughs and opinions. Thanks and have a good day!!

Regards,
Al

Goodyear F1 GS-D3

Very good tire. You can search on it and find lots of positive things to say about the tire. It's the best I've owned. You can find reviews at www.tirerack.com

There is a wheel/tire forum here as well.

Re: Which Tires?

I bought a set of fuzion zri's (off brand of bridgestone) for $319 plus tax for the whole set mounted and balanced. They are a far superior tire to the BF comp ta's that I replaced. The price seems too good to be true for a quality tire but I'm telling you I feel buying anything else is a waste of money! Check out tirerack.com for a bazillion reviews on this tire. I got mine at the firestone dealership on west road in trenton, mi. from jason. He says he'd do the same deal for anyone I send. I've been driving on these for about 3,000 miles now rain, sun, warm, cold and they are simply awesome!

I cant agree more. This tire has made driving my car fun again. No more spinning tires at half throttle or downshifting at 55mph. These things grip right out of the hole and are exceptional in the rain. I used to be able to blip the throttle in the rain and spin them, now I can give decently hard acceleration from a stop light and not slip a bit. They give me alot more confidence going down the road.

Glad you like them so much. I followed your saga of trying to choose the right tire. I was in the same situation before, and knew that the F1 GS-D3 turned out to be an awesome choice for me. Glad to see that you agree. They cost a little more, but boy are they worth every penny.
