Thoughts on AJE k-members?

I have a source for good pricing on an AJE K-members and I've been tossing around the idea of getting one. I've read a lot of old posts about the pros and cons of using the tubular k-member for a street car. All of the info I'm finding is about either the BMR or the PA Racing brands. AJE doesn't have the greatest website but the guy I could get this through tells me that in the catalog there is a road racing version available for an additional $20.

Here comes my entire paragraph of questions...

I was wondering if anyone is using the AJE k-member in an LT1? Anybody using the road racing version? Pics? Clearance issues w/ long tubes? What is the difference between the regular and the road racing version? Any other issues? Are you using the stock LCAs? Stock/larger capacity oil pan issues?

Thanks!

I know a couple guys running them and they love them. I'll probably switch to one down the road (since I'm a dealer ).

I think the road racing version is more than $20 too. It's a special order item as well, so it make take a bit longer to get. The road racing version has extra bracing for corner loads. It weighs a little more, but it's much stronger.

Anthony also told me in an email that the RR versiont is $20 more, so I think I'll be going w/ the RR version. Do you know where the extra bracing for the RR version is located? Would you happen to have any pics of the RR version?
Thanks

Re: Thoughts on AJE k-members?

I have been to his shop to see the AJE K-member. It is a quality piece. I have some pictures of the road racing reinforced version. The extra bracing is a small tube that triangulates the main cross member with the sides. I don't have a K-member yet, but when I get one, it will definitely be the AJE racing unit. He also told me that it should clear headers that won't clear the BMR piece (SLP or ASM, for instance).

The pictures on the website are not accurate. The real K-member looks different and he told me you can use the stock A-arms with it.
