taillights

Whats up guys i have 2 ?s i changed to the 98 taillights on a 96 what if any mods do i need to do,Also car has been in the garage for 2 yrs i have no brake lights only the 3rd brake light works.I changed all the bulbs any suggestions Thanks

If your third brake light works but the rest doesn't, I'd be willing to bet that the turn signal switch is bad. The regular brake lights go through the switch while the high mount doesn't. Time to break out the DVOM and some schematics to test some wiring.

The taillights are a direct swap with no mods. Another possiblity is the bulb sockets get corroded and rusty, check each one.

Actually if you are using the 97 and up tail lights,you have to run a wire from the tail light harness to the brake light switch on the pedal.This is so that when you press the brake pedal the correct lights work.
